LIVE-STREAMING AT HOCKEY MANAWATU
Hockey Manawatu is excited to announce that our community will be able to watch hockey played on our Cartown MG turf through a live streaming app.
Hockey Manawatu has invested in a world-class live streaming system that uses artificial intelligence to deliver high-quality live streaming for those who cannot get to the game to support their teams and whanau.
Many features will benefit our community over time. However, the primary focus is to provide the ability to watch community and tournament hockey from anywhere where you have Wifi access, and on a range of devices such as mobile phones, TVs and computers.
Over time, we are hoping to provide video footage for player and umpire development, have the ability to code clips for trainig, and to make and share highlights packages.
Stage One of this project was the installation of the system, which has now been completed. Stage Two, which is where we are at now, involves piloting the live streaming of selected games on our Cartown MG turf over the remainder of this season. This piloting phase will aim to iron out any issues that may be identified, in an attempt to enhance access, functionality and ease-of-use for viewers and users.
Hockey Manawatu reserves the right to use the footage for spectator viewing, resource development, promotional materials, commercial opportunities and publicity purposes. By visiting or utilizing our facilities and participating in any of our games, you consent to our usage of such footage.
This is a very exciting new development, which we are sure will not only enhance the experiences around hockey for our members and wider community, but also add significantly to the development of our players, officials and coaches.
