National Hockey Championship 2024
Hockey Manawatu are excited to be hosting the NHC 2024. Hockey New Zealand have had a record number of entries with 48 teams from all over New Zealand arriving for the 7 day tournament.
Manawatu will have 3 Men's teams and 2 Women's teams across the two tiers with many of NZ's Blacksticks and regional stars showcasing their skills including our own Megan Gibson (Hull), Steph Dickins & former Blacksticks Michaela Curtis, Pippa Norman and Nick Wilson. Hockey Manawatu are proud to have the John Turkington Forestry Men's and John Turkington Forestry Emeralds in the respective Men's and Women's Tier 1 - Manawatu Mavericks & Manawatu Rams in the Men's Tier 2 and Manawatu White in the women's Tier 2.
The tournament will have the country's best umpires and officials overseeing the games including our own HMI officials:

HMI are extremely proud each year to have such high calibre officials represent our association on a National stage.
All five are returning officials to NHC and it is testament to the continued hard work they put in on and off the turf to be recognised with a National Level appointment.
