Our turfs and facility will open for visitors (within strict rules and procedures) from Monday 18 May 2020.
A list of guidelines on the use of our turfs and facility has been published under the ‘Covid-19’ tab on our website here
It is important that you take note of these guidelines and changed processes if you are planning to visit the turf next week and beyond.
Some of the key guidelines and processes are:
1. If you are unwell, even with mild symptoms please do not come to the turf. Seek medical advice.
2. Practice public health measures. Hand sanitizer will be available for you to use. We expect you to wash and dry/sanitise your hands before entry and upon exit. There are sanitising points located across the facility for your use.
3. Practice recognised hygiene, including washing your hands, cough/sneeze into your elbow, and keep a 2m distance from others as much as possible.
4. Until at least the 25th of May, groups of no more than 10 people will be allowed. We will allow 4 groups per turf, with groups not being allowed to mix of get closer than 2m from others. It is essential to make bookings before you arrive at the venue to avoid being turned away because we may already fully booked.
5. You have to make a booking before you come to the turf. Contact Ally - office@hockeymanawatu.org.nz
6. You must sign in and out by scanning an IDme QR code on a device one of our staff will have available. This is contactless. Instructions how to set up your QR Code is on our website, or go to IDme.co.nz to set your own code up. It only takes a few seconds, and you MUST have that to get in. If you do not have a mobile phone, it is easy to set up a code from any computer and print the QR code, which you can use to get scanned in. YOU HAVE TO BE SCANNED IN AND OUT EVERY TIME YOU COME TO THE TURF.
7. All groups will be required to have a health and safety delegate who will be responsible for ensuring that the group comply with the rules of use of our facility.
8. Please bring your own towels, water bottles and any gear you may need. No equipment (including water bottles, PC and goalkeeper gear) may be shared.
9. There are several ‘NO ACCESS’ areas. These have been clearly marked and barriered off. Please do not enter these areas. Most prominently, change rooms, dugouts and the water fountains will be NO ACCESS.
10. We have a comprehensive cleaning plan, which includes having breaks between sessions with no visitors on site. Please exit immediately after your training, so that we can get the facility properly cleaned before the start of the next session.
There will be staff members on site to help with the process, manage lights and watering. We look forward to seeing you all next week.
